Kiran Friesen is an actor, writer, singer, pole dancer who works on stage, screen and web series.
She's
been seen as Carmel, the sexual predator in the award winning lesbian
web series "Seeking Simone", as well as starring as the perky but lethal
fitness chick in acclaimed short film "Fat Chance" a Martha Burns/Susan
Koyne produced project currently playing on HBO.
Theatrically,
she has enjoyed a number of strong Shakespearean roles such as Gertrude
(Hamlet), Lady M (Macbeth), Desdemona (Othello) and Lady Capulet (Romeo
and Juliet), not to mention a smattering of other theatrical wonders and
oddities (see resume).
She wrote, produced and performed her
play "Peeler" for the Toronto Fringe Festival to rave reviews. She was
also part of a filmmaking collective in which she co-wrote and
co-starred in the short film "The Sandbox".
In film and tv, she
has been fortunate to work with great directors and actors on
productions such as a recurring role on Gangland Undercover, Ginny and Georgia, Odyssey 5, and the mini-series
Bloodletting in between summers assistant teaching Meisner in Europe.
